“The best time to start laser hair removal is NOW. Because to never have to shave again, several treatments are necessary. With the right laser setting for your skin, you can do it in a matter of months!” – Dr. Peter Herndlhofer
First results after laser hair removal are visible after the first or second treatment – depending on the body region. For example, you will see hair reduction faster under the armpits and in the genital area than in other regions. On average, depending on the region of the body, between 4 – 8 treatments are necessary at intervals of about 1 month. And the good thing is that even after a short time you will have to shave significantly less, because your hair will grow back thinner and weaker after each treatment.

Smooth legs without having to shave again and an intimate zone without razor pimples – a dream for woman and man. But how does it work? Hair lasers guide high-energy light with a specific wavelength through color pigments in the hair to its roots. The laser light is absorbed there and converted into heat. The high temperatures are passed on to the neighboring cells, so that the surrounding hair roots become desolate. The result: Existing hair falls out and new hair cannot grow back.
So say goodbye to pesky body hair and shaving pimples and make an appointment online right now.
There are many types of lasers on the market, but not everyone is suitable for hair removal. It needs a certain wavelength and energy to obliterate the hair root. The energy can be adjusted on most devices. On the other hand, the wavelength is predefined by the laser type. The following lasers can be used for hair removal.
There are many devices, but only 2 lasers are the most effective according to the current state of science: the alexandrite and the diode laser. We have tested our way through many well-known brands of diode lasers. Lumenis had the best mix of treatment comfort, speed and simplicity (no sticky gel required). And why did we decide against an alexandrite laser? Because: Alexandrite lasers are perceived as more painful – we can confirm this from our own experience.
Since your hair needs to be lasered regularly for optimal results, your comfort factor is the focus of the treatment. Because the best laser epilation won’t do you any good if you feel like you’re at the dentist.
Is laser hair removal possible in summer?
This depends on the treatment area. We can laser sun-protected body zones such as under the armpits or the bikini line without hesitation. However, large areas of skin exposed to the sun should only be lasered when the sun shines less strongly outside. This is because the risk of hyperpigmentation (skin discoloration) increases due to direct UV radiation. We will be happy to advise you on the optimal time.
Can I have my hair lasered despite tanned skin?
That depends on when you last got some intense sun! If this was more than 1 week ago, we just need to adjust the laser settings to your skin tan.
How many treatments do I need?
Already after the first treatment your hair can fall out after 7-10 days. For the duration of your hair cycle, which varies depending on the body region, you will thus have a largely hair-free result. However, after 1 – 3 months you will see regrown hair. The good thing is that after each laser cycle your hair will become thinner and less. For optimal results, we recommend 6 treatments followed by laser epilation about 1x a year.
Permanent hair removal - is it possible?
No, permanent 100% hair removal is not possible from the current state of knowledge in 2022. Anyone who promises otherwise today is fibbing to you. Wir können deine Haaranzahl zwischen 80 – 95% reduzieren. And the good news is that the remaining hair will be much finer and therefore less noticeable. Countless women are already happy with the results of laser epilation – see for yourself!
Is laser hair removal equally effective on all parts of the body?
No! Take, for example, the armpits and bikini area. Here, the laser reduces your hair count by 90 – 95%. On the back it looks different – there we achieve a hair reduction of “only” 80%. The reason: your hair differs depending on the body region and grows at different rates.
What is the advantage over home laser epilation devices?
Lasers for home use are mostly weakly effective IPL devices (IPL = intense pulsed light) and never diode lasers. Physicians found that they provide poorer long-term results than more powerful diode, alexandrite, or Nd:YAG lasers. Small home IPL devices also never operate at the same strength as those used by doctors, which require regular maintenance to ensure worry-free use.
Which hair can I have lasered?
We cannot laser light blond or white hair because it contains too little or no melanin. This prevents the hair from absorbing the light from the laser. It does not matter which laser is used.
Can I have my hair removed with different lasers?
Let’s say: You had your hair lasered somewhere else, but you are not 100% satisfied with the result and now you want to try another device – this is possible. The only question is why you are not satisfied with the result. For example: blonde hair is difficult to remove with all lasers. We will be happy to advise you and clear up any ambiguities.
Is hair removal with a laser unhealthy?
Moles or birthmarks should not receive laser beams, otherwise the risk of certain skin diseases increases. The good thing is that with us, all moles or liver spots are adequately covered with a pen before treatment.
What does gold standard mean?
The gold standard in medicine is a procedure that is currently the best and most proven solution. This means that according to the current state of science, the laser is the most effective method of hair removal. All future methods will be measured against this gold standard.
